What it does
Four jobs, one layer.
Laid between the substrate and the tile, DB Matt waterproofs, decouples, manages vapour and bonds — which is why it goes down before anything anyone will ever see.

- Open channels let residual moisture in the screed escape instead of pushing tiles off.

What does an uncoupling membrane do?
It separates the tile layer from the substrate. Screeds and timber floors move — through curing, temperature and load — and without a membrane that movement transfers straight into the tile and the grout, which is where cracking starts.
Where should DB Matt be used?
Floors over cracked, green or moving substrates; walls in bathrooms, kitchens and utility rooms; and wet areas including showers, wet rooms and balconies.
How much does one roll cover?
A roll is 1 m × 30 m, covering 30 m², and weighs approximately 19 kg.
Can I tile straight onto DB Matt?
Yes. The anchoring fleece is designed to bond with standard cementitious tile adhesive, so the membrane is bedded to the substrate and tiled over as part of the same operation.
